Lorne Brown is CEO at SintecMedia, the world’s leading television advertising management technology company, where he leads the company’s global product and marketing functions. Lorne is focused on providing media companies with profitable advertising capabilities that scale across TV, digital, and more. Previously, Lorne was the founder and CEO of Operative, which was acquired by SintecMedia at the end of 2016. At Operative, Lorne Brown built the leading software company for digital media companies. His expertise in media sales and ad operations grew Operative from an outsourced ad ops provider to a global company whose solutions traffic over $6 billion in digital advertising.

Previously, he worked as Vice President of Sales and Operations at several financial services and technology companies, including BCJ Systems and Royal Blue Technologies, where he oversaw implementations and client partnerships for a web-based trading system. He took the workflow automation knowledge he gained from the finance world and brought it into digital media, creating the first real ad business management platform that spans the process from quote to cash.

At EA, she’s helped hundreds of customers—in industries ranging from finance and retail to the not-for-profit sector—turn data and analytics into insight, strategy and engagement. Prior to founding EA in 2003, Jan was president of Compusearch and spent 19 years at the Ontario Statistical Centre.
 

Mitch Oscar

Mitch Oscar is the president of HocusFocus, a media and marketing consultancy founded in 1993, whose mission is to provide guidance for the development and deployment of new video applications as they traverse programmatic TV, addressable TV, connected devices, streaming video, and contextual audience networks.

Prior to launching HocusFocus, Mitch held various senior executive positions at major advertising agencies, including EVP, Managing Director of Innovation at MPG; EVP, Carat Digital; and SVP/Director of Media Futures at Universal McCann.

Mitch is also the architect and moderator of The Collaborative Alliance, a quarterly forum for media professionals to help navigate the future of the consumer and advertiser relationship within the evolving televisual landscape. Its most recent iteration is The Secret Society.

Mitch is a standing member of industry trade associations and a frequent panelist and speaker at industry events.

 

Brent Bernie

Brent Bernie has over 35 years of information services marketing experience. Currently, he leads a team of account people who service and support customers across Canada. comScore Canada is the only Canadian company that maintains a panel of ~35,000 Canadians for the purposes of reporting and evaluating their actual online behavior across multiple devices. comScore also offers services measuring advertising activity, effectiveness and the measurement of cross platform audiences.

Brent was intimately involved in the development of comScore’s Unified Digital Measurement transition and has consistently worked to ensure Canada is at the forefront of digital measurement enhancements including the launch of Multiplatform digital measurement and the fusion of PMB data with comScore information. He is currently very active in the development of cross media measurement in Canada blending television and digital consumer insights.

Brent spent a dozen years with Nielsen Media Research in the television measurement business rising to the level of Vice President. He was very involved in the launch of the first electronic measurement for television in Canada. Brent was active on the board of the IAB for seven years and served as Chairman of the organization from January 2004 to June 2006. In late 2005 Brent was named to Marketing Magazine’s Power List of the 100 Most Influential People in Canadian Communications. All 100 were recognized for their leadership, innovation and clout

Brent served on the board of NABS for seven years and served as Chair for over three years. In February of 2015, Brent was awarded the Paul Mulvihill Humanitarian Award for his work with NABS.

Since her appointment in April 2015, MacLeod has led the transformation of thinktv from a broadcaster-focused trade association to an authoritative research-driven marketing resource, demonstrating the power of television advertising to drive brand and business results. Prior to thinktv, MacLeod was SVP, Specialty Channels at Bell Media where she was responsible for brand and programming strategies across all of Bell Media’s non-sports specialty & pay television channels and digital assets. MacLeod is also a recovering lawyer.
